Student Tips

Eat an adequate breakfast. Make sure it includes some protein.
Arrive on time and ready to work.
Dress in comfortable clothing and shoes. On the SU campus you will have to walk between buildings and climb hills and stairs.
Bring notebooks and pencil or pen. Take notes. Write down even those things you don't think you "need to."
Attend EVERY class.
Learn the names of other students in class. Exchange telephone numbers, email addresses, or IM contact information. Communicate outside of class. Talk with classmates about what you are learning.
Tell someone at home - parent, grandparent, sister or brother - what you did and learned each day.
Set aside a few minutes each afternoon or evening simply to reflect on your class or classes, even if you do not have a specific homework assignment. Ask yourself what learning you feel confident about. Ask yourself what questions you still have.
Don't wait to ask for extra help.
Cultivate a positive attitude. Regents exams were made to be passed. You can do it!
