Keys2Work: What We Do

An 11 district consortium, joined by partners and affiliates from Central New York businesses and employers; higher education, government and community groups; all working together to blend the needs of business with the academic success of students in partnership with the CNY Regional School-to-Career Partnership.

Hundreds of individuals from business and the community participating in activities including partnerships, mentoring, job shadows, speakers, internships that impacted 21,000 teachers and students last year.

Expanding the services of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield School-to-Career Clearinghouse to provide information about the value of school/business partnerships, assist with program implementation, regionalize best practices and match students to real work experiences.

Working collaboratively with Syracuse University, the Metropolitan Development Association and other community groups to implement the WorkKeys project, a system for profiling high needs job assessing worker skills and customizing workforce training.

Showcase of Partnerships held in conjunction with the Syracuse Chamber Business Show.

Partnership of the Year Awards and Merchants of Hope Mentoring Awards (named by Vicky Swanson) presented at the PEB Annual Meeting and Sponsored by the Metropolitan Development Association.
