Community Agencies
 
There are five community agencies involved with Syracuse Gear Up. These centers, located around Henninger and Fowler High Schools serve as a location outside of the classroom for students to learn. These centers have printed materials regarding selecting a college and financing a collge education. They are printed in English and Spanish for distribution to those seeking information.

Brighton Family Center is a neighborhood center that provides a variety of services in a predominantly African-American neighborhood. Services provided include a Young Mothers Program for teens (under 21) who are pregnant or parenting, preschool and afterschool programs as well as teen programs.

Dunbar Association is a multi-service family center offering after-school elementary activities, evening teenage programs, Family Find, Adoptive Care, Domestic Violence Intervention, Purchase Preventive, Head Start, Liberty Partnership and Summer Day Camp.

Huntington Family Center provides parenting support and education for parenting and pregnant teens and adults with delevopmental disabilities. Services are provided through individual and group sessions in the Family Support Network, Better Babies, and Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Programs. Childcare is available during group sessions.

Northside Catholic Youth Organization is located in a low income, culturally and racially diverse neighborhood. The center offers a wide range of programs for neighborhood residents, including programs for children and teens, and case management program, and coordinates activities for refugee youth. Activities with refugee youth include recreation, tutoring and support services.
